A Capitalistic, Entrepreneurial Solution to Social Problems of Homelessness
Angels Camp is a replicable, self-sustaining, and entrepreneurial system of homeless rehabilitation centers. We address the root causes of homelessness in a revolutionary way -- by combining profitable business operations with treatment, housing, and training facilities. We connect local business, spiritual and academic groups together to provide a unique program of support to build a ladder-up out of homelessness.
Removing Obstacles That Cause Homelessness
Angels Camp removes the obstacles to success by addressing the root causes of homelessness -- including mental illness, substance abuse and hopelessness -- in a way that enhances self-esteem, confidence and independence in the homeless population.
Mutual Commitment To Learn And Work With Dignity Toward Success
Our facilities and programs provide a way for the homeless to work and live with dignity while they earn their way out of their situation. Through making a commitment to a code of ethical conduct and studying a curriculum on habits of success in peer groups, the homeless become Angels Camp students. By adhering to the Angels Camp program, students learn skills which empower them to become self-sufficient and successful.
Teaching Practical Workforce Skills
Working in businesses run by Angels Camp, our students learn workforce skills and build work ethics, trade experience and a foundation of savings to become productive members of society. Further, by serving as Angels Camp staff, and volunteering for other charity groups, angels camp students give back to the community as a whole.
